Job Description

Our client is looking for a material handler (Licensed Electrical Forklift Truck Operator) to work on picking and packing Satellite orders, Customer orders, picking production assembly orders and filling Kanban bins.Whats in it for you

  • Hourly pay $18.75 plus 4% vacation pay
  • Monday to Friday 8 hours shift between 7AM to 5PM
  • Pay weekly every Friday.

Essential Functions/Position Requirements(a) Work from written or verbal instructions from Coordinator, system generated picking documents and established work routines.(b) Pick and pack materials, finished goods for shipment to Satellites and other customers. Consolidate shipment in designated areas. Ensure packaging requirements are met to eliminate possible damage during transportation.(c) Pick and deliver material for production orders, deliver to designated workstations and store according to proper sequence and coding.(d) Pick material to fill Kanban bins in workstations or deliver Kanban components from feeder to assembly workstations.(e) Utilize lifting devices and carts to locate, move and deliver materials.(f) Perform cycle counting, ensuring accurate count.(g) Ensure accuracy of parts and quantity based on documentation, scanners and Oracle systems.(h) Handle internal inquiries and provide assistance in locating materials.(i) Provide input and recommendations to improve effectiveness of work area.(j) Inform Coordinator of potential production or material concerns, including delay in shipment.(k) Provide assistance and guidance to co-workers as required.(l) Utilize numerous functions of Oracle on daily basis to fulfill warehouse responsibilities.(m) Maintain Daily 5S responsibilities.(n) Perform other duties as assigned.Experience/Education(a) Grade 12 or interpretation of basic instruction, written information.(b) 3 - 6 months warehouse material handling experience.(c) Basic to Intermediate computer skills including MS Office and database management.(d) Experience with Scanners for use in a Warehouse environment.(e) Basic understanding of mathematical concepts.(f) Licensed Electrical Truck Operator with Fall Arrest certification.(g) Prior experience on truck loading principles.Are you InterestedStop your job search and apply today!
