We work with children, teens, adults, and families who need help to improve their literacy skills. We work with a variety of partner organizations to deliver volunteer-run, community-based programs across Canada. Frontier College is accredited under the Imagine Canada Standards program.We are seeking a mature, responsible, committed, and self-motivated individual to fill the Elmwood Literacy Intern position with Frontier CollegeWith generous support from the Province of Manitoba –Ministry of municipal relations, community development branch the Literacy Intern will design and deliver literacy programs and workshops for children, youth and families living in Elmwood.This role requires superior organizational, time management, planning, excellent technical skills, and ability to work with a variety of computer programs. The literacy Intern will have solid communication and facilitation skills, the ability to create and maintain positive relationships with participants and the community. They will need to be flexible combined with a positive attitude in a demanding and dynamic work environment.Overall AccountabilityFrontier College Interns work very closely as a team with our partners, and Frontier College volunteers. All Frontier College positions work under the remote mentoring/supervision and report directly to the Community Coordinator, and/or Regional Manager.Major Duties and Responsibilities
