Job Description

Overview:As a Estimatics Administrator you are responsible for providing estimating standard (ES), part business rule and estimating systems support for Estimating Operations and the Manitoba repair trade as well providing direct feedback to the Estimatics team. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to optimize MPI’s application of estimating solutions. This includes providing daily procedure support to MPI staff and the Manitoba trade within a fast paced, time sensitive environment. You are responsible for responding to requests for clarification using published procedures and demonstrations as situations warrant and technical proficiency with the software is required to assist others in the Research & Estimatics department with identifying more efficient workflows and possible root cause of issues as well as assisting with the development of appropriate solutions.Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and responds to Estimator requests for ES and Business Rule support
  • Investigates and provides clarity to Estimator regarding application of relevant procedures
  • Provides technical assistance for Estimators and repair shops in the use of Mitchell Estimating and part sourcing software
  • Initiates Non-Parts Autonomy workflows for accredited repair shops
  • Monitors claims for parts business rules and ES compliance ensuring cost control is maintained, the Corporation is not surcharged by any supplier or repair facility and the quality of parts available with approved sourcing platforms complies with industry standards
  • Maintains outgoing task work queue to ensure accepted service levels are being met including proper estimate application for all requests
  • Supports Accredited Repair Inspectors with confirming repair delays due to parts issues and provides recommended solutions
  • Assists repair shops in sourcing obsolete, backordered and difficult to find parts
  • Assists with the administration of the MPI parts program
  • Maintains published supplier resource lists for all stakeholders
  • Conducts daily excluded part audit to ensure repair shop and Estimator compliance
  • Requests correction from Estimators and logs findings for review with the Estimatics Coordinators
  • Maintains records and logs gaps or deficiencies of the various estimating solutions, including data entry of parts and labour information not included in the electronic version of the claim received from the Estimator.
  • Monitors and audits supplier requirements to maintain membership in MPI’s parts program.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years related office experience including:
  • One year experience providing customer service to the repair trade and developing knowledge of vehicle components
  • One year experience in parts sourcing for automobile collision repairs
  • One year experience using Mitchell Estimating
  • Working knowledge of alternate parts industry standards.
  • Working knowledge of estimating standards.
  • Working knowledge of MPI’s parts business rules.
  • Working knowledge of MPI’s estimating procedures.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external business partners and staff.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of independence and confidentiality.
  • Works with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Advanced organizational, interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to present information effectively to various audiences.
  • Ability to handle high volumes of workflow with a high degree of accuracy within a fast-paced environment.
  • Intermediate analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of applicable computer software including estimating platform, recycled parts sourcing software, Mitchell, Outlook, and Excel.
