At the University of Manitoba, what inspires you can change everything.The opportunity: The Executive Assistant provides confidential administrative assistance and secretarial support to the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, which includes dealing with many highly confidential items that require strict and careful handling of the College of Pharmacy and UM procedures. This position requires the ability to exercise considerable independence in judgment and action and a high degree of tact, diplomacy and discretion in dealing with all levels of UM staff, as well as external groups.The Executive Assistant to the Dean works collaboratively with the Administrative Services Manager in relation to the Academic hiring process and is the direct support to the Dean regarding academic appointments. This position is responsible for the coordination and administration of the academic search process for the College, ensuring that procedures outlined in the UMFA Collective Agreement and policies are adhered to. This position must have a strong knowledge of the academic search process and must communicate collaboratively with the VP Academic and Provost Office.The qualifications and experience we’re looking for:
