Job Posting TitleFacilities Maintenance Infrastructure SpecialistJob CategoryFacility ServicesLanguage RequirementsEnglish / AnglaisIn the event a qualified bilingual candidate is not found, a qualified unilingual candidate will be considered. / Dans l’éventualité où un candidat bilingue qualifié n’est pas disponible, un candidat unilingue qualifié sera considéré.Posting Start Date2022-12-23Posting End Date2023-01-20Job GradeATP-7Pay Range$84,265 - $105,330Job SummaryResponsible for ensuring that all facets of electrical mechanical, HVAC, general building maintenance and health and safety procedures for all building structures related to air traffic control services, which include ACC’s, Towers, NAVAIDs and all pertinent outside plant facilities, are completed in a timely, safe and efficient manner through direct supervision of NAV Canada Facilities personal and multiple contracting groups in cooperation with NAV Canada operations and support staff.Job DescriptionKey Accountabilities:

  • Administer (where requested), Supervise, and Coordinate Facility Maintenance Contracts
  • Provide Technical Support and Trade Expertise for Outside Contractors and Maintenance Personnel
  • Implement and Coordinate Safety and Security Programs
  • Maintain and Manage Quality Control Programs
  • Engineer, Implement and Track Environmental Activities and Procedures
  • Plan, Schedule, and Manage Company Assets and Resources
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, Provincial, and Municipal Codes and Regulations
  • Maintain the required training to work on NAV CANADA’s electrical systems
  • Assist and Coordinate Technical Services Construction and Retrofit Projects
  • Liaison with NAV Canada Managers, Flight Service Staff, Technologists, and Administration Staff
  • Facilitate and Manage Record Keeping Activities and Procedures
  • Create daily logs, status, deficiencies, and closeout reports of maintenance projects/processes
Job RequirementsEducation:
  • College diploma in facilities maintenance or equivalent technical experience. Equivalent technical experience is 10 years of field working related to maintenance delivery with proven increased level of responsibilities.
  • Associate’s Certificate in Facilities Management is an asset
  • Preference will be given to candidates with education relating to facilities maintenance.
Experience:
  • Experience in prioritizing is critical workload management due to the unpredictability of emergencys that can and do arise because of the nature of the air traffic control business.
Knowledge
  • Knowledge of computers and computer programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and AutoCAD is essential for communication and record keeping.
  • Knowledge of CMMS systems and how to input, analyze, schedule, and execute upon asset information.
  • Knowledge of project management software to input, analyze, schedule, and execute upon maintenance.
  • Knowledge of federal, provincial, and municipal environmental policies is required to comply with company environmental procedures
  • Knowledge of structural and architectural building components is an asset to the position.
  • Knowledge of landscaping, roadways, towers, antennas, pest control, fencing, and diesel storage tanks
  • Knowledge of various trade disciplines including painting, carpentry, welding, electrical, gas fitting, plumbing, elevator mechanics, air conditioning, flooring, diesel mechanics, fire protection, security, DDC controls, and pneumatics.
  • Knowledge of construction, repair, and maintenance of the following building system components; electrical, HVAC, mechanical systems, roofing, structural, glazing, exterior building components, and interior building systems
Abilities
  • Ability to read and analyze construction blueprints and drawings including electrical, mechanical, structural, and architectural to coordinate with project managers, tradesmen, and engineers
  • Ability to write, interpret, compile, amend, and analyze contract documents for various facets of facility maintenance is compulsory.
Personal Suitability
  • Multi-tasking capability is essential for the timely response to the constant stream of facility requests coming from operations staff, technologists, project managers, engineers, and supervisors.
  • Effective interpersonal relationships, dependability, initiative, judgement, and tact
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Working conditions
  • Climbing, walking, bending, and stretching are required to reach various areas of the facilities to complete facility inspections and building assessments.
  • Record logging, data entry, Maximo manipulation involves extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and focusing on a computer screen.
  • Periodic heavy lifting is required when receiving shipments of materials, equipment, and goods for maintenance and projects.
  • This position is based in Winnipeg and is classified as an onsite position. This position is not eligible for a flexible work arrangement
