Job Description

FAMILY SCREENER/RESIDENT PORTERFACILITY/DEPARTMENT: LIONS HOUSING CENTERS PCCEFT: (0.8)- WEDNESDAY TO SATURDAY - WEEKLY 08:30 AM - 4:30 PM.START DATE: ASAPResponsibilities: · Follow-up on cell phone messages of families.· Input into Outlook calendar all visitation room and skype visits· Fill out Booking forms prior to visit.· Ensure communication of the visits to the floors is provided each morning and throughout the day as changes occur.· Greet Family members by name and implement screening process prior to entering the visitation area.· Seat Family members reminding them the length of the visit.· Remind Families of distancing procedures.· Ensure Residents are ready for the visit prior to taking them off their neighborhood for the visit.· Communicate to the Resident throughout the transportation experience.· Leave Resident with Family members reminding them the time visit will end as needed.· Observe and assist with visits as needed to ensure physical distancing.· End the visit assisting the Resident back to their floor.· Ensure visit room is sanitized after each visit is completed.· Fill out remaining evaluation for each visit.· Ensure all parcels that were brought in for the Resident from the Families are sanitized. Label with the Residents name and room number.· Drop off any parcels that were given to the Resident at the nursing station.· Provide Skypes as booked.· Assist with Resident Hairdressing transportation as needed· Communicate to Recreation Manager all Family/Resident concerns.Professionalism: . Maintains confidentiality in all matters pertaining to Residents, Staff and facility operations.. Practices in a manner that supports the Respectful Workplace Policy and the Resident Bill of Rights.. Participates in mandatory annual education.. Work collaboratively with all staff as required.. Promotes effective working relationships among team members.Job Requirements: . Experience with cognitively impaired seniors.. Strong communication skills.. Positive and friendly attitude.. Experience is providing consistent quality customer service.. Familiar with and physically able to push all types and sizes of Wheelchairs.Required Documents: · Clear Criminal Record Check and Adult Abuse Registry· Proof of Vaccination.
