Job Description

DEPARTMENT: Food and NutritionLOCATION: 661 Main StreetHOURS OF WORK: 40 hours a weekResponsibilities and Qualifications:

  • Assists with day-to-day operations of the MSP food program
  • Assist coordinating food and nutrition activities, which may include providing food to community, functions/events and MSP’s Essentials Market
  • Help with accepting and organizing food donations to ensure a high standard of quality
  • Maintenance of food inventory, including shipping, receiving, food set up and distribution
  • Maintain sanitation and food safety standards in compliance with public health guidelines
  • Assist managing food donations including packaging, storage, and labelling requirements to ensure food safety; determine how food will be transported throughout the Agency as well as picked up
  • Help with the setup, merchandising and operating of weekly food bank including assisting community with their weekly shop
  • Assistance with donation drives for food, bottles water etc.
