Job Description

Forklift OperatorSpringhill Lumber (Wholesale) Ltd. is looking for a Forklift Operator for immediate hire. This position is from Monday to Friday with some overtime as required.The successful candidate will receive full company paid benefits after 90-days.Rate of Pay: $18.00 - $20.25 per hour (Depending on Experience)Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensures orders are loaded, unloaded and accurately filled, counted and secured following all safe work requirements;
  • Completes paper work accordingly – tallies product changes as needed;
  • Maintains a clean, safe and orderly yard and warehouse as directed;
  • Perform daily equipment checks (fuel, tires, oil etc.);
  • Be professional, courteous, and punctual with a focus on customer service;
  • Other duties as required.
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Ability to do physical labour including lifting, carrying (over 50 Lbs.), bending repeatedly on a daily basis;
  • Previous Forklift experience;
  • Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s licence;
  • Ability to perform at a high level in a fast paced, demanding working environment.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written) with excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions:
  • Exposure to dust and extreme changes in temperature and weather when working outside year around.
  • Safety boots and safety equipment are required.
  • Busy, high volume environment.
