Job Description

DATE POSTED: Saturday, March 5, 2022EMPLOYER: The Fort GarryCITY/TOWN: WinnipegBUSINESS LOCATION: 222 BroadwayDESCRIPTION: The Fort Garry Hotel is looking to add a Front Office Manager to our dynamic leadership team. Reporting to the Rooms Division Manager, the Front Office Manager (FOM) ensures the Front Office (including Front Desk, Night Audit, Bell and Valet teams) run efficiently and profitably. The FOM will lead, motivate and inspire the Front Office teams to deliver exceptional customer service in accordance with The Fort Garry Hotel and Choice Hotels® brand standards. The position includes working a variety of shifts, providing hands on support for the Front Office teams and understanding how the Front Office operations connect to all other areas of the hotel.Below are just a few of the responsibilities the FOM will have (a detailed job description will be forwarded to candidates that get to the interview process):

  • Demonstrate positive and professional leadership characteristics at all times to inspire the Front Office Team to meet and exceed standards.
  • Implement clear guidelines on Front Office procedures and policies, and ensure these are followed consistently
  • Follow Choice Hotels® brand standards.
  • Follow union standards.
  • Train new staff members in Choice Advantage® PMS, payment processing, and hotel procedures and policies.
  • Ensure the Front Office teams have current knowledge of all room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, local area and other general product knowledge necessary to perform their duties.
  • Monitor the standards and performance of the Front Office teams with an emphasis on training and teamwork
  • Supervise and coordinate the Front Office teams to ensure a smooth operation and the highest level of guest satisfaction.
