Esri Canada has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Solutions Specialist, who will support sales efforts in the Public Works vertical. This position will report to the Director, Public Works and will work closely with the Public Works Industry Manager, Regional Account Managers, and Professional Services Manager to develop and demonstrate ArcGIS-based solutions and to provide GIS technical advice to clients and business partners.Technical Solutions Specialist responsibilities:Lead pre-sales activities to drive the sales of products and services offered by Esri Canada. These activities are performed during sales calls, site visits, seminars, proposals, trade shows.Work with the Public Works Industry Manager and Professional Services team to design and develop Esri based industry solution service packages.Advise customers on GIS requirements and strategies, architectures, products selection, and release planning.Leverage existing ArcGIS industry solutions and deliver effective demonstrations of ArcGIS products and solutions that address client needs and competitive situations.Assist customers on decisions regarding software solutions, professional services’ needs business partner selection, and training requirements.Assist clients and business partners in integrating ArcGIS technology with their respective products and organizational data.Lead post-sales activities to expand the use of products and services offered by Esri Canada, generate additional sales, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance Esri Canadas image as a solutions provider.Team up with the Public Works Industry Manager and Regional account managers to perform regular key account reviews and follow ups.Act as a technical advisor to customers and partners to provide GIS strategy support.Perform fee-based requirements analysis and definition, product installation and other post-sales services required by customers as requiredPrepare and teach standard and customized training on Esri based Public Works industry solutions as required.Specific skill requirements:3+ years of technical experience working with the ArcGIS product platform.Knowledge of Esri applications such as Workforce, Survey123, Collector, Crowdsource Reporter, Dashboard, and Insights.Experience with Esri’s ArcGIS for Server, Desktop, and Portal software products.Experience in presenting all aspects of Esri technology to analysts and decision makers.University degree, college diploma, or relevant experience in a related field of study.Competencies in the following are essential:Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Courteous, well-spoken, and customer focused.Self-motivated, goal driven, and efficient team player.Willingness to travel throughout Canada.Considered as assets for this position are the following:Development and implementation experience with GIS technology.Experience in consulting, sales support, or sales engineeringBilingual (English/French).Knowledge of Maintenance and Asset Management practices.Practical experience with Asset Management software such as Cityworks AMSEsri Canada provides a dynamic work environment, an opportunity to build your skills with leading tools and technologies and a team-based approach.
