1.0 Student Services (K - 8) (Term)BULLETIN NUMBER: 476/T/21 DATE POSTED: October 19, 2021SCHOOL: GLENWOOD SCHOOLPOSITION DESCRIPTION:The term teaching assignment will commence November 8, 2021 to December 22, 2021 or one day prior tothe return of the teacher being replaced, whichever occurs first.This teaching position requires an individual who understands and is an advocate for meaningful inclusion,accessibility and equity in education. The Student Services Teacher will model and promote effective andvisionary inclusive educational practices through professional learning, collaboration and “team teaching” as wellas provide services including assessments and programming to support student learning and wellbeing. TheStudent Services Teacher will engage in collaborative Student Services planning with school and program-based teams, as well as external partners to meet collective and individual student needs.REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:• Possess a permanent Manitoba Teaching Certificate• A minimum of five years of varied and successful teaching experience• Post graduate education in Special Education, Resource or Counseling required; education in progress maybe considered• Experience working with and developing academic, behavioural, and social needs programs for childrenwith a range of special/differing abilities• Experience preparing low-incidence funding applications• Experience in developing and implementing Individual Education Plan (IEP process)• Must be able to organize and direct an Educational Assistant team• Must be able to participate as a contributing member of the school-based Student Service Team toperform resource and counseling dutiesAPPLICATION PROCEDURE:• Apply by using the LRSD online submission process at www.lrsd.net
