Manitoba’s oldest golf club, with the province’s newest golf course, Southwood Golf & Country Club is currently seeking a Golf Shop Attendant.Southwood Golf & Country Club was established in 1894 and moved in 2011 alongside the meandering LaSalle River. The 18 hole course was designed by renowned Canadian Architect Thomas McBroom to the highest standards. The Club has been dedicated to great service and hospitality for over one hundred years. Our experienced staff and management team provide friendly, professional service to all of our members and their guests.Reporting to the Head Golf Professional, the Golf Shop Attendant will assist in administering all daily operations including, but not limited to: operating POS system, managing handicap and tee sheet applications, facilitating sales and merchandising, and maintaining excellent service to achieve member and guest satisfaction.Major Duties & Responsibilities:Provide exceptional service for both members and guests.Lead the day to day operations.Motivate back shop staff to ensure high quality performance.Oversee the daily retail operation.Reconcile daily tee sheets, performs check-in, and receive payments from members and guests.Promote all club golf activities.Responsible for tournament preparation, organization and all daily golf events.Facilitate golf leagues.Ensure cleanliness and organization of retail shop and storage spaces.Represent the club in a professional mannerQualifications:Strong customer service skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.Must be available to work flexible hours to meet operational needs.Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite would be an asset.All submissions are welcome, however only those candidates under consideration will be contacted.
