Position:Red River Co-op invites applications for the position of Grocery Clerk at our Seasons of Tuxedo Food Store, located at 755 Sterling Lyon Parkway in Winnipeg, MB. This position reports to the Grocery Manager.Responsibilities for this position include the following:Be a liaison and public relations representative for the Co-op within the communities we serve.Deliver world-class customer service that is fast, friendly and efficient.Maintain sections of merchandise (non-perishable food, dairy, frozen food) as assigned in an effective manner. Ensure first-in, first-out rotation is followed at all times, and that close-dated product is reported to the Grocery Manager.Ensure the Grocery Department is properly stocked with merchandise and faced at all times.Receive, inspect, and store orders upon delivery to ensure all product is immediately stored in proper temperature-controlled environment.Assist in building mass and bunk end displays as required.Provide front-end assistance as required.Ensure that the sales floor, receiving area and warehouse are kept tidy and organized.Assist Grocery Manager in ordering duties and inventory control. Advise him or her of out-of-stocks or special requests from customers.
