Job Description

Anchor Construction Industrial Products is a leading wholesaler of anchors, fasteners, power tools & accessories and safety products in Western Canada. Through our 6 branches, weve been providing customers with products and solutions for over 50 years.We are currently looking for an experienced shipper/receiver for our Winnipeg branch. The right candidate will have experience in all warehouse and inventory functions from front to back.Responsibilities:

  • Prepare outbound shipments and pickups: verify correct products/quantities, check for damage, package and label, arrange economical freight, prepare all paperwork (physical or digital), load trucks and assist customers
  • Receive inbound shipments: Unload trucks, verify quantity, and check for damage
  • Assist in receiving during peak times
  • Manage inventory and cycle count
  • Communicate with receivers, sales, buyers and management as needed
  • Report and keep records on inbound and outbound shipments
  • Transfer goods to and from branch locations
  • Follow safety procedures and practices
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Operate a forklift, order picker
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned
Education and Qualifications
  • This is a physical job and will require frequent lifting of 50+ pounds
  • Very skilled with a forklift
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Strong numeracy with ability to work with Imperial system of measures and fractions is a must
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Stellar work ethic and excellent attendance
  • Ability to work well in a fast paced environment
  • Minimum high school diploma required, diploma in logistics, supply chain management or business admin an asset
  • A team player with a great attitude who enjoys working with fellow employees and customers
