Job Description

Our goal is to provide innovative solutions that lower construction and maintenance costs while maintaining excellence in safety and quality and thus providing a lower total cost of ownership for our clients.Job SummaryWe are seeking Heavy Duty Lube Technicians for our Kitimat site located in British Columbia. The successful candidates will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance functions on a variety of off-highway heavy duty construction equipment.Responsibilities

  • Performing preventative maintenance functions on a variety of off-highway heavy duty construction equipment including:
  • o Excavators up to 670 size
  • o Bulldozers up to 850 size
  • o 40 and 45 ton articulated trucks
  • o Motor graders up to 872G/160M size
  • o Wheel loaders up to 844 size
  • Performing basic mechanical repairs such as lubrication, track adjusting, and running repairs (such as basic electrical/hydraulic repairs)
  • Working on all makes/models of construction support equipment
  • Working on Polaris off-highway vehicles
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Proficient use of a fully equipped service truck stocked with fluids and an evacuation system
  • Familiarity with job-site protocols and safety requirements
  • Adaptability and flexibility regarding changing work conditions and environments
  • Active participation in Daily Toolbox and Weekly Safety Meetings
  • Ability to work with limited or no supervision
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a safe, efficient manner and provide supporting documentation as required by site such as FLHA and observation cards
  • Positive attitude consistent with supporting the Safest Project on Earth
  • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing.
Work Conditions:
  • Shift Rotation: 14/7
  • Working 10 hours per day
  • Camp accommodations will be provided onsite
  • The camp is fully equipped with private rooms and bathrooms, multiple dining areas, entertainment areas, medical facilities, games rooms, a gym, running track, gymnasium, climbing wall, golf simulator, and more
  • Flights will be provided from Calgary, Edmonton, Kelowna, Vancouver, Nanaimo, or Prince George
  • Transportation to site will be provided by bus for locals living in Terrace or Kitimat
  • Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions
  • The site has a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination program in effect November 30, 2021.
