We are looking for individuals who have interest and experience in caring for people with Dementia and a desire to work with Residents exhibiting responsive behaviours while working in a proactive program model.POSITIONS: HOUSEKEEPING/LAUNDRYPART TIME- 0.6 EFT TERMRESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Possesses sufficient practical experience to satisfactorily perform the responsibilities of the position.
  • Experience working with Residents who exhibit responsive behaviors.
  • Utilizes communication skills effectively to establish and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, co-workers and the public.
  • Satisfactory work record is required.
  • Works independently with minimal supervision.
  • Maintains confidentially in all matters relating to the facility, residents and families
  • Mentally and physically able to perform duties safely without injury to self, co-workers or residents
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Friendly personality and genuine interest in helping others.
  • Previous Long Term Care and/or Mental Health experience an asset
  • Experience in working in geriatric population
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Current (within 6 months) Criminal Record Check & Adult Abuse
  • Enthusiastic commitment
  • Position involves walking, standing, lifting for sustained period of time.
