Our Head Office is located in Winnipeg MB, with additional offices in Halifax NS, London ON, and Regina SK.Description: We are looking for a self-motivated and energetic Human Resources professional who has interest in all aspects of people operations, but with a specific desire to further develop in the area of learning and development.Reporting to the Senior Director, Human Resources, the successful candidate will provide general oversight of many daily HR functions with a focus on the creation and execution of professional development programs for our teams.This individual will report to the Winnipeg office in the Richardson Centre and enjoy the flexibility of being able to work from home a few days per week.Responsibilities

  • Design, deliver, and manage engaging participant-centered learning and development programs
  • Collaborates with creative and expert resources and guides SME’s in order to design and develop training materials, curriculum and resources
  • Partners with leaders to define learning objectives, curriculum, and resources
  • Selects and executes the final delivery method of training, i.e. instructor led, eLearning, event-based modules, and blended modules
  • Content development includes initial plan design as well as existing plan enhancement
  • Performs needs assessments and analyzes training effectiveness
  • Facilitates training as needed.
  • Frequently communicates the progress of projects, processes, tools with stakeholders
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to leave; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; health and safety; and training and development.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, learning and development, and employment law.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years in Human Resources with a preference to employee training and learning content development experience
  • HR Certificate or University degree in Training/Learning & Development, Human Resources, or related field preferred
  • Strong understanding of general human resources policies, procedures, and employment standards
  • Experience within the insurance industry would be considered an asset
  • Ability to exercise tact and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential information
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, listening and developing relationships enterprise-wide
