Job Description

Overview:As the HRMS Analyst, you will be responsible for providing consultation, guidance, analysis and recommendations related to the Human Resources Management System (HRMS) operations, and related systems and processes. You will perform and conduct system interventions that require troubleshooting, analysis and testing, including the organizational structure administration, budget position management and mass employee updates. You will also be responsible for the complex integration of MPI’s HR related systems, particularly the data interface between HR and Payroll.Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice and guidance to HR staff, management and other employees regarding the use and functionalities of the HRMS and related systems, explain interfaces, interpret issues and recommend solutions.
  • Responsible to ensure the HRMS operations are processed as expected by analysing, monitoring and running system’s background processes, history logs and emails/notifications.
  • Responsible for the setup, creation and maintenance of MPI’s Organizational Structure in the HRMS and related systems by understanding the ever-changing business hierarchy, analysing systems’ operations and implementing the necessary actions to keep the systems up to date.
  • Manage the Compensation Module in the HRMS, by analysing Compensation’s official Pay Plans and guidelines and translate them into system functionalities through setup, creation and maintenance of jobs, classifications, Salary Structures and Step & Grade Schedules.
  • Responsible to coordinate and implement corporate-wide actions in the HRMS, including merit increments, general wage increases; and also execute mass data uploads.
  • Build customized reports, export and consolidate data in Excel through the use of various formulas, generate summaries and format the data in order to transform it into presentable/usable information.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Computer Science or a related discipline, with supplementary formal coursework in system administration.
  • Designation in HRMS (i.e. HRIP – Human Resources Information Professional) or currently enrolled in the program is a definite asset.
  • Certified Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation is a definite asset.
  • Five years of related human resources administration experience, including two years analytical experience supporting HR systems, tools and databases, conducting process analysis, documenting system requirements, and performing data analysis.
  • Experience working in a project environment is an asset.
