We’re united by a shared commitment to excellent and equitable health care.Position OverviewReporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Associate is responsible for the provision of human resources services including: management support in attendance management; labour relations including contract interpretation, benefit plan interpretation and support, conducting exit interviews; and supporting recruiting and onboarding activities.Experience

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a unionized environment performing a broad range of Human Resource support functions.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required.
  • Certificate in Human Resource Management from a recognized post-secondary institution or enrollment and completion of the program within 3 years from date of hire.
  • A combination of relevant education and work experience may be considered.

  • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) required.
  • Effective problem-solving skills, written communication skills and organizational skills are essential.
Physical RequirementsNot ApplicableThis position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.Please note that an employee is not permitted to hold two or more positions across the WRHA legal entity that combine to equal more than 1.0 EFT.
