You will be challenged with fostering a culture of engagement across the country. This role is responsible for hands on employee and labour relations functions as well as providing direct leadership to HR Advisors.Your role will include:

  • Providing direct leadership to HR Advisors across the divisions to maintain a highly engaged and functioning HR team;
  • Collaborating and supporting with division management team to align business and HR strategies;
  • Initiating, developing and driving the adoption of programs which support a culture of highly engaged teams across the country;
  • Providing on the ground support in a variety of HR matters such as performance management, conflict resolution and other employee and labour relations issues;
  • Participation in labour relations functions such as grievance settlement and bargaining;
  • Continually developing yourself to stay on top of recent HR trends and best practices.
The successful candidate will enter the position with the following qualifications:
  • University Degree or College Diploma in Business, Communications, or Social Relations field;
  • Human Resources Management Diploma, Degree or Certificate program;
  • At least 5 years of previous HR experience in a privately owned company;
  • At least 2-3 years’ experience supervising HR professionals;
  • Previous labour relations experience including administering collective bargaining agreements, bargaining, grievance settlements and arbitration preparation;
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization;
  • Experience providing HR support across multiple locations;
  • Independent thinking and an ability to look for opportunities for improvement;
  • Superior PC skills in Microsoft Office Applications (including, Word, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.
