Job Description

POSITION: ICT TECHNICIANCURRENT LOCATION:The ICT Team allocates our team into one of three clusters – Oakbank and surrounds, Beausejour and surrounds, and Powerview/Lac Du Bonnet/Whitemouth. This position will be based in the Tech Centre in the Beausejour Sunrise Business Centre. (Beausejour—approximately 35 minutes from Winnipeg’s East Perimeter)TIME EMPLOYED: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.; 1.0 FTEEFFECTIVE DATE: As soon as can be arrangedDUTIES: Work under the direction of the Director, Information & Communications Technology to install, maintain, diagnose and repair divisional computer and related technology equipment at various sites. The ICT technician will have the primary responsibility for installation and maintenance of computer and related technologies in the Division.RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follows direction and guidance from ICT Management in daily projects, assignments, and responsibilities
  • Support, deliver and maintain ICT systems
  • Provides technical computer support for Sunrise School Division computers and staff
  • Reviews and works on Service Desk issues assigned to them
  • Maintains a positive attitude and is an advocate for the ICT Department
  • Enhances professional growth and development through participation in continuing education courses, professional organizations, seminars, and workshops, reading current literature and maintaining professional contacts in the community
  • All other duties as assigned by ICT management
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Diploma/Certificate in Computer Technology (or equivalent) from an accredited educational institution an asset
  • Minimum of one-year hands-on experience in computer hardware repair and troubleshooting desired
  • A+, Network+ or equivalent education/experience
  • Vehicle and valid Class 5 driver’s license
  • Knowledge/experience with configuring, troubleshooting and installing
various computer-related components, peripherals, and devices onMicrosoft-based networks
  • Knowledge/experience with current Windows Server, Windows clients,
Microsoft Office, Office 365, network software installations, endpoint securityanti-virus strategies, Windows Active Directory, workstation imaging andprinting
  • Experience in Microsoft Endpoint Manager and Meraki MDM is an asset
  • Experience in Audio Visual environments is an asset
  • Experience in Apple IOS environments is an asset

troubleshoot and resolve system issues and challenges.
  • Strong attention to detail and deadline oriented
  • Must be accustomed and adept at working on various issues simultaneously
  • Physical ability to move equipment weighing as much as 40 kg
RATE OF PAY: As per CUPE 4456 Collective Agreement.
