Riverview Montessori provides an enriched learning environment for children ages 3-6 using the Montessori method. We are currently looking to fill a full-time position on our team. This individual would work as a part-time Inclusion Facilitator; focused on meeting the needs of a child who requires additional support. This individual would also be expected to help supervise our lunch program as well as spend part of their day in the classroom supervising and working with all of the children in the program. A successful candidate for this position will need to be passionate about working with children, patient, creative, engaging, and caring. Flexibility is very important, as they will be responsible for the implementation of individualized goal setting and program planning as well as working in group settings with all the children in our care. It is important for our whole team of educators to work together as a team to promote inclusion while fostering an overall love of learning!Qualifications and Assets: - Self-motivated, flexible and reliable with a strong work ethic- Ability to work constructively with a team of educators and reflect the values and beliefs of the centre- Ability to work professionally with children, staff, parents, and specialists- Must have experience working with children with additional support needs- ECEII or CCA with 40-hour course related to early childhood education- Good communication skills and ability to apply appropriate guiding techniques and behaviour management- Possess a strong understanding of child development- Willingness to be flexible and assist with a variety of classroom duties (ie; cleaning, preparing snack, preparing classroom materials)- Must hold or be willing to obtain a criminal record check and child abuse registry check- Must have a current first aid with level C CPR certification- Montessori training and/or experience is a major assetJob Type: Full-timeSalary: $16.00-$18.00 per hourBenefits:
