Job Description

St. James-Assiniboia School Division“Great Schools for Growing and Learning”Information System Network TechnicianFull-time TERM positionNovember 2021 to January 2023Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the administration and support of the Division’s Student Information
System (SIS)
  • Provide support for schools using the SIS (ie. Daily Attendance, Reporting, Report
Cards, Scheduling, etc.) including leading meetings and training sessions
  • SIS Customization, Development and Support
  • Prepare customized reports, enrolment projections, and EIS/Provincial Reporting
  • Provide support as required to the Superintendent’s Department for various projects
Qualifications:
  • Experience administering and supporting a student information system, preferably
PowerSchool
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office; particularly Excel
  • SQL and Oracle experience an asset
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills and attention to
detail
  • Excellent technical troubleshooting skills and problem-solving ability
  • Flexibility to work additional hours during peak periods
  • Valid driver’s license and daily access to a vehicle required

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
