Join our team of Manitobas best as we continue to build a company that supports innovation,commitment and customer service.As a key member of the Digital Innovation Hub, you will be responsible for solving key business problems and needs by defininginnovation solutions, overseeing innovation deployments, and ensuring alignment with enterprise guidelines. You will driveinnovation initiative ideation and design to understand Problem Suitability (hypothesis, feasibility, research, etc.) as well as BusinessExploration though Agile innovation (prototyping, piloting, minimum viable product capabilities) prior to acceptance, scaling anddeploying at a broader scale.Working closely with other members of the Digital Innovation Hub, you will leverage best practice knowledge to ensure ideas can betaken through the necessary steps to become scalable and supportable managed solutions. You will be relied upon to bring a deepunderstanding of business, technology, and end-user empathy to support your team of resources in solving both challengingbusiness opportunities and uncertainties through innovative solutioning. Your initial innovation area of focus will be on ProcessAutomation through RPA (Robotic Process Automation).Responsibilities:
  • Develops the expertise, mentality, and capacities required to achieve innovation objectives.
  • Leads the identification, development, and management of a portfolio of high-profile innovation initiatives across Digital &
Technology and Manitoba Hydro.
  • Oversee the execution of assigned innovation objectives, including delegation of key results and management of the
associated technical and business accountabilities.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders across Manitoba Hydro to understand the existing technical & business capabilities landscape
and identifies opportunities for emerging options to drive value.
  • Provides ongoing technical advice and recommendations on innovation issues of strategic importance (end-user capabilities,
technical, operational, financial, etc.) to leaders and executives.
  • Applies advanced tools, technical knowledge and experience to conduct complex analysis on various innovation investment
scenarios.
  • Performs advanced research and analysis to create, develop, prioritize, and evolve innovation objectives including developing
and recommending technical plans, technical capabilities, strategic objectives, business models, and leadership support.
  • Understands expectations of stakeholders regarding new and innovative capabilities that have the potential to transform the
business, translating technology capabilities into business enablement.
  • Supervise a multi-disciplined team to lead and participate in cross-functional teams dealing with potentially complex and/or
highly sensitive issues.
  • Drive the innovative vision for capabilities in the Robotics Process Automation domain including:
  • Lead collaboration efforts with process owners to identify process automation opportunities and determine feasibility of
automation.
  • Responsible for RPA lifecycle management including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment,

  • Collaborate with and take an active role in the Power Apps Community of Practice to support RPA adoption by providing
education, best practices, standards, and resources to deliver a successful RPA Center of Excellence.
  • Represent Manitoba Hydro externally in the field of expertise by participating in knowledge sharing organizations such as
Canadian Electricity Association (CEA), National Research Council (NRC), Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), etc.
  • Be an active voice in defining and implementing innovation best practices, standards and procedures including quality, value
realization and delivery methodologies.Qualifications:
  • Graduate in Engineering from a university of recognized standing and membership of Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba
(EGM).OR
  • Degree /diploma in a relevant discipline such as Computer Science, Business, or Technology.
  • Seven years of progressively responsible experience directly applicable to the position.
  • Proven hands-on agile and change management experience.
  • Ability to supervise a small team effectively, including task delegation, mentorship, and line-of-sight alignment between
assigned work and corporate objectives.
  • Holistic understanding of Innovation Management principles and practices.
  • Experience in conducting successful technical consulting engagements that demonstrate stakeholder interactions that yield
working prototype solutions, proof-of-concepts, and/or demos.
  • Demonstrated ability to research technical issues and generate innovative business solutions that deliver value-based
outcomes.
  • Working knowledge of modern software development practices and methodologies such as Agile, DevOps, and
Human-centered thinking is required.
  • Experience with RPA (Robotics Process Automation) tools and platforms like UIPath, Blueprism and Power Automate, are
considered an asset.
  • Experience in data and process automation domains.
  • Hands-on experience in cloud-based technologies is required.
  • Understanding of the importance of diversity, and experience utilizing its advantages to achieve robust and optimal solutions
to complex technical problems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external
organizations.
  • Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and continuously innovate to achieve great results.

Salary RangeStarting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
