Job Description

Hiring a Journeyperson Electrician to fill a Service Technician roll. Must have an extensive background in service work, be confident in troubleshooting, and diagnosing electrical systems. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team performing installs, repairs, and upgrades to electrical systems. Paramount Services is a dynamic multi trade company serving commercial and industrial clients in Manitoba and across Canada. The ideal candidate has a passion for the electrical trade and is looking to continue to learn and grow throughout their career. Reporting to electrical division managers and working alongside existing electrical team members, as well as other skilled trades and service people.Requirements:

  • Interpersonal and customer service abilities
  • Must have a strong understanding of all facets electrical and mechanical repair and service, as well as exceptional troubleshooting, and analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Proficient in reading schematics and prints; detailed and self motivated.
  • Personal Hand Tools
  • Strong understanding of the English language, both verbal and written. Clear communication and detailed job notes are required.
Work Environment:
  • Both indoor and outdoor conditions year round
  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders and scaffold, bend, stoop, push, pull, reach, and kneel.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
  • Must follow safety protocol at all times
Special Requirements:
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays on occasion as part of an on-call rotational schedule
  • Ability to work out of town, occasionally overnight
  • Must possess a current driver’s license, and a clean driving record.
  • Subject to background check prior to employment.
