Role Description:Reporting to the AVP, Digital Strategy & Innovation, the Lead, Digital Strategy & Innovation will act strategically as a facilitator of and primary contributor to Wellington-Altus’s Digital and Technology Roadmap for the business partners with which they are aligned. The incumbent will facilitate data gathering, roadmap creation, target state recommendations, and support project teams through delivery of projects in alignment to business growth and evolution.The incumbent will be responsible for advancing Wellington Altus’ strategic commitments and enterprise business applications through Digital Strategies & Plans to deliver on Organizational Priorities and Business Outcomes.Key responsibilities include:
  • Digital Strategy, Operational Planning and Execution
    • Creating a digital and technology vision and roadmap for business teams aligned with this Lead and identifying the opportunities for differentiating digital capabilities and solutions.
    • Leading the development of the overall WA digital business strategy and roadmap for the business teams aligned with this lead
      • Ensuring integration with the enterprise strategic planning process and the resulting business strategy and plans, working across organizational leaders to identify target outcomes (KPIs) and track progress.
    • Working with business and technology leaders to develop transformative strategies and reimagine the way we do business to support our accelerated growth.
    • Defining and reporting on digital business KPIs and metrics that represent progress against digital goals.
    • Research, analyzing and delivering Business Cases that consider key business priorities and bring insights that result in actions creating value for the firm.
    • Define, analyzing and setting targets using data and analytics as key vehicles to drive improvements and measure progress, ROI, and success criteria.
    • Creating alignment and momentum with the delivery teams to drive progress.
    • Helping other stakeholders think critically and sharing complex technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
    • Partnering with Technology on the definition of the Technology Strategy aligned to the business teams to enable successful delivery and the ongoing evolution of applications.
    • Maintaining broad transparency through strong communication, collaboration and partnering.
    • Supporting the delivery of Functional Reporting for aligned business teams.
    • Supporting and engaging in demand intake review, prioritization of initiatives/backlog and ongoing reporting.
    • Utilizing strong analytical skills and experience to cope with complex situations and progress towards target outcome(s).

    • Active engagement and thought leadership in digital product management and sharing within and across teams.
    • Driving innovation and continuous learning to proactively tackle disruptors.
    • Applying a digital and growth mindset; engaging in continuous learning to update digital skills, digital thinking, and analytical thinking capabilities.
    • Championing a respectful workplace while fostering diversity and inclusion.
    • Acting as a champion and change agent in leading the organizational through change to create and sustain enterprise digital and technology capabilities.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in business management, product management, computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 15+ years of experience in progressive portfolio/project delivery and management of IT and non-IT programs.
  • Proven expertise managing both agile and waterfall project methodologies.
  • Experience managing a team of directors and various levels of program and/or project managers.
  • Prior start-up experience would be considered an asset.
  • A PMP, BRM, Business Analyst, Scrum Master or MBA would be considered asset.
