Overseeing logistics operations to ensure the most efficient and cost effective delivery of units while maintaining positive vendor relations is critical to the success within the role. Additionally, the Logistics Coordinator is well versed in obtaining and supplying all importation documents needed to cross borders.With 28 brands in 78 Dealerships, in two countries, AutoCanada is a 2008, 2013 and 2021 CADA Laureate Winner, a 2021 TSX30 Winner and currently holds14 OEM Performance awards.Culture at AutoCanada is everything! Your Key Responsibilities
  • Adding inventory daily the logistics tracking system; pulling all documentation needed for titling and uploading to the filing system
  • Identify export destinations with the buyers for purchased units, negotiating pricing, time frame, and collaborating transportation providers
  • Ensure that all information (electric and/or hard copy) are well organized, kept up to date, and easily accessible
  • Complete process of shipments includes arranging for pick-up, booking, document preparation (bill of lading, invoicing, etc.) forwarding follow-up with tracking and tracing to destination
  • Managing positive relationships and communicating regularly to ensure maximum profitability
  • Assist in tracking the status of payments to suppliers and vendors
  • Coordinating with carriers, customs brokers, public insurers, and auctions to effectively solve for delivery challenges
  • Preparation of weekly reports
  • Prepare and dispatch outgoing mail and courier packages to ensure packages have been delivered within established timeframes
  • Perform a variety of tasks including filing documents and updating databases with the latest information received/provided
