Big Freight is proudly part of Daseke Inc., the largest flatbed and specialized transportation company in North America.ABOUT THE POSITIONWe are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join our Logistics team in Winnipeg. This is an excellent opportunity for an entrepreneurial self-starter looking for an opportunity to join a leading transportation company. This position offers lots of autonomy along with the support needed to be successful. The ideal candidate will present professionally with an energetic can-do attitude, will possess a strong work ethic, and will be skilled at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.The duties listed below while not complete, are intended to demonstrate the scope of this position.

• Manage a portfolio of existing customer accounts as assigned, including developing client relationships, addressing inquiries, and providing quotations for transportation services.

• Identify and execute load opportunities with both existing and new customers for our asset and logistics operations, and match available loads with partner carriers’ available trucks.

• Provide customers with timely and accurate communication about their shipments.

• Manage a portfolio of new and existing partner carriers, including developing carrier relationships, recruiting and onboarding new partner carriers, and resolving issues.

Requirements & QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience in transportation and logistics would be a definite asset.

• Experience in the flatbed or specialized hauling segments would be an asset.

• Experience in logistics and freight brokerage would be an asset.

• Experience in sales or account management would be considered an asset.

• The ideal candidate will be an independent self-starter with excellent problem solving skills, who also can work as a team when needed.

• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.

• This position will be based in our Winnipeg, Manitoba office.
