Job Description

We are confident that if you choose to work at ROBINSON, you will be taking your first steps towards a challenging, profitable, and satisfying career.Reporting to the Manager, Logistics, the Logistics Coordinator will play a pivotal role in the selection of cost-effective transport for ROBINSON shipments, interact collaboratively with various branches, departments and vendors to provide logistics support.What you will do:

  • Obtain shipping quotes for sales & customer service representatives expeditiously
  • Book carriers for shipments and create shipping documents for branches & vendors
  • Improve logistics process by negotiating with service providers to increase efficiency & reduce waste
  • Provide tracking updates as requested
  • Coordinate with Freight Payables in conducting carrier invoice audits and resolving carrier payment disputes
  • Document and submit freight claims to carriers
  • Creative problem-solving to circumventive logistics variables
About You:
  • Minimum 1 year experience with Commercial Transport/Logistics (TL, LTL, Air, Ocean, Courier)
  • Enhanced multitasking and time-management skills
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, Eclipse, Excel, Outlook, Word
  • Knowledge of domestic geography & transit times
  • Detail-oriented, with a sense of urgency
  • Formal education in the areas of shipping and logistics would be an asset
