1.0 Hotel and Hospitality Management Instructor(Evening Program) (Term)BULLETIN NUMBER: 636/E/22 DATE POSTED: October 18, 2022SCHOOL: LOUIS RIEL ARTS & TECHNOLOGY CENTREPOSITION DESCRIPTION:The Louis Riel School Division is developing opportunities for adult post-secondary training. We are looking forexperienced instructors for a new Hotel and Hospitality Management Certificate Program. For the Hotel and HospitalityManagement Program, preference will be given to a candidate with experience instructing in the Hotel and Hospitality fieldand that has experience with English as an Additional Language (EAL).This program will run in the evening, not during regular school hours. The start date of this program will be February 1,2023 to November 30 2023, unless sooner rescinded.We are seeking three (3) instructors, however the positions are dependent on student enrolment.REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:• Proficiency in facilitating programing that ensures student’s deeper learning through:• Delivery of the Hotel and Hospitality Management Program curriculum.• Connecting the curriculum to real world experiences and using this to engage the learners.• Design of instructional and assessment practices that engage student learning• Programming for students who are English as an Additional Language learners• Knowledge, understanding and application of inclusive pedagogy• Use of inquiry/project-based learning• Promotion of innovation and creativity• Active collaboration between students and adults, and with colleagues, locally and globally• Inclusion of student voice and student choice• Leveraging technology as a learning tool• Supporting students in finding internship placements• Preference will be given to a candidate with a background in Hotel and Hospitality Management.APPLICATION PROCEDURES:The Louis Riel School Division is committed to employment equity and accessibility.
