1.0 Office Technician (Term)BULLETIN NUMBER 875/C/22 DATE POSTED: April 11, 2023SCHOOL NORBERRY BOARD OFFICE (LRSD BOARD OFFICE)COMMENCING: As soon as can be arranged until September 8, 2023 or one day prior to return of incumbentCOMPENSATION: Payband 4 $29.81 to $31.81HOURS: 7 hours per day, 5 days per week, 12 months per yearPOSITION DESCRIPTION:Reporting to the Divisional Vice-Principal of Data Literacy, the Office Technician will provide administrative support, datamanagement and analysis, communications, and digital content creation functions.The Office Technician will be responsible for the administrative functions of the department. They will provide administrative support tothe department administrators. The incumbent will be using advanced features in Office 365, SharePoint, Excel, Power BI, Clevr, and thestudent information system (Tyler) to do data collection, maintenance, analysis, and reporting. They will assist the departmentadministrators with project management tasks. The incumbent will be responsible for the organization and maintenance of digital filesystems. They will contribute to the creation and implementation of a data, communications and digital content plans designed to supportthe goals of the Student Support Services Department. They will contribute to the creation of digital, print, web-portal, and audio/visualcontent and contribute to the creation of communication, protocols, and other digital content. The content may include print andaudio/visual materials, e-newsletters, digital presentations, special events and updating of website and social media content.REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Education and Training:• Completion of minimum 2 year diploma in Business Administration or a related IT discipline from a certified business school orcommunity college is an asset.Experience, knowledge, and skills:• three years of recent experience in an administrative or technical role or an equivalent combination of related experience, trainingand education• ability to learn new software programs and to adapt to technology changes• advanced skills and experience in Office 365 apps,• understanding of database structures, relationships and ability to create and/or manipulate reports• excellent digital content creation and writing/editing skills• experience with evaluating office systems and implementing new processes and procedures• ability to develop systems, protocols and standards to organize electronic and manual files and records• ability to prioritize and organize task effectively• ability to work effectively as a team member and independently• ability to meet multiple demands and deadlines in a busy office environment with many interruptions• good understanding of the role of confidentiality and privacy issues in a school setting• skills in both official languages (English and French) preferred but not requiredAPPLICATION PROCEDURE:The Louis Riel School Division is committed to employment equity and accessibility.
