Job Description

Overview:The Manager, Digital Workplace Services provides strategic direction and leadership in the support of a highly technical, cross-discipline team of IT professionals providing 24×7 operational execution and support for MPI’s enterprise end user computing, end user support and collaboration services for employees, MPI customers and partner community including brokers, law enforcement agencies, etc.You will be responsible for driving adoption of digital workplace technologies to increase workforce digital dexterity and productivity within the enterprise. You will ensure the overall service delivery is exceptional as measured by objective KPIs and dashboards and maintain strong relationships with IT operations and service management teams.Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and guidance and create and operate a positive, secure, and motivating work environment.
  • Responsible for workload planning, hiring, performance management and development planning of staff. Ensure technical expertise of the unit is maintained.
  • Ensure the direct management of, and provides support for highly technical, cross-discipline teams of seasoned IT professionals providing 24×7 operational execution and support.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with external service providers/partners, technology teams within the division and business partners throughout the organization.
  • Manage third party vendor relationships and hold them accountable for delivery of agreed service within the defined expectations and timelines.
  • Continually review the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvements necessary to support corporate objectives.
  • Implement and manage processes and controls that assure maximum uptime and quick service to the user community for both on premise and cloud-based services.
  • Implement a culture that proactively identifies and implements efficiency improvements and technology advancements that deliver tangible returns through operational rigor process.
  • Develop annual operating plan and budget for responsible area including hardware, software, maintenance, staff, and department expenses. Develop, maintain, and execute the strategy in alignment with business objectives.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Business, or applied Science with a demonstrated record of continuing education in the Information Technology field.
  • ITIL Foundations certified
  • Lean Greenbelt (process improvement) certification is an asset.
  • Eight years of experience in information technology covering a wide range of technologies and disciplines, including
    • Five (5) years in a leadership capacity with a proven track record of directing, leading, and improving all aspects of IT Service Delivery.
    • Minimum four (4) years of experience with implementing and managing ITIL processes - knowledge, incident, change, service request and major incident management across IT Service Delivery teams.
  • Intermediate knowledge of enterprise IT services, technologies, and processes.
  • Working knowledge of technology deployment using a variety of technologies including networking and platforms specifically related to End user computing.
  • Advanced analytical skills, ability to problem solve and recommend solutions to enhance operations to improve service delivery.
  • Advanced communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment.
  • Ability to implement, manage and monitor the Cloud Computing environment for Infrastructure and Platform Services (IaaS, PaaS) and Desktop as a Service as well as Azure AD, Azure SQL, Virtual Networks, Machines, Firewall, Security, Storage, AIP, ATP, ASR, CAS, EM+S, Teams, Intune, AAD Connect, Exchange Online and O365.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required level of security clearance.
