Job Description

Position: Manager, Hospitality ServicesLocation : 1645 Inkster Blvd, Winnipeg, MBPosition Summary : Reporting to the Director, Subsidiaries and Auxiliary Business, the Manager, Hospitality Services is responsible for the leadership of a team in the provision of customer service to the Co-op System in managing areas of food services as well as operational standards and controls for Inns North Hotels,Tundra Take-Out & Diners and Co-op Express.Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Improve viability of Inns North Operations, Tundra Take-Out & Diner Operations and Co-op
  • Express Operations by participating in financial plan development, monthly analysis, and reports for business plans, in conjunction with District Support Advisors
  • Provides leadership and direction to Member Co-ops for Inns North Hotels in the areas of food services, room standards, staffing, and operational controls
  • Provides leadership and direction to Member Co-ops and subsidiaries for Tundra Take-Out & Diners in the area of food services, operational standards, staffing and operational controls
  • Ensures travel to each property by Hospitality Services staff (Food Services Support Specialists, Inns North Support Officers and Relief managers) to ensure goals are met
  • Provides leadership in the management and control of Accounts Receivable in all Hotel operations
  • Liaises with Innovation and Infrastructure Services Division to enhance systems and programs effectively and in a timely manner
  • Committee participation as required
  • Works closely with all Arctic Co-op support staff in other departments and divisions to ensure full participation of all stakeholders in the quality delivery of customer service to Member Co- ops and Arctic Co-ops businesses
  • Within a team environment, provide direction and training to department staff
  • Cross trains in other areas of the department/division to ensure consistent delivery of service for vacation coverage and other absences
  • Delivers orientation to new managers and staff of the Arctic Co-ops System
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualif ications
  • Strong knowledge of hotel procedures with a minimum of 3 years of hospitality experience
  • Proven lead/management skills with 3-5 years experience
  • Ability to train and develop staff and strong team building skills
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Excellent time management, organizational, planning and administrative skills
  • Superior interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to work in a cross-cultural setting, values, diversity and collaboration
  • Good knowledge of the Arctic Co-operatives System
  • Working knowledge of Point of Sale systems (Squirrel, RoomMaster, Quasar, Medallion,
Counterpoint) would be an asset
  • Excellent computer skills including strong working knowledge of Excel, Word & Powerpoint
  • Proven commitment to personal growth and development
  • Ability to travel to Co-operatives in the Arctic Co-ops System approximately 60-90 days per year
