With a national office in Toronto and seven regional offices across the country, NCC delivers results you can walk on.*Position Summary*The Land Protection Measures Lead is a 3 year contract position working with the VP, Conservation Policy and Planning, Director of Strategic Conservation, Chief Conservation Officer and NCC regional staff.The incumbent will be responsible for identifying, piloting and documenting robust, scalable approaches to the development of Other Effective Area Based Conservation Measures (Conserved Areas) on private lands and on private-held crown tenures.Working with NCC staff and provincial jurisdictional staff, the incumbent will work to minimize or eliminate barriers to OECM and Privately Protected Area (PPA) recognition.Specifically, the incumbent will be focusing on forest and grassland OECMs across the country with an initial emphasis in SK, MB, ON and NB and PPAs in key locations.Position Requirements
