Job Description

Reports to: Director of MaterialsMaterial Handlers (Expeditors) are responsible for various material handling activities including collection, transportation, and delivery of products and equipment between various areas of the production facility, preparation of engine/module kitting trays, and organization of products onto kitting trays in accordance with established standard layouts.Job DescriptionMaterial Handling

  • Works with internal departments to locate required products and equipment.
  • Transports and delivers products or equipment, in a timely manner, by physically moving them either manually or by way of material handling equipment (i.e. forklift, pallet jack, etc.).
  • Gathers and cleans empty engine/module kitting trays to prepare them for their next use.
  • Organizes products onto engine/module kitting trays in accordance with standard layouts.
  • Delivers completed engine/module kitting carts to the appropriate department.
General
  • Processes time sensitive materials in a fast paced environment, while observing all material handling, safety, and quality requirements, and reporting immediately any unacceptable practices/conditions.
  • Maintains a clean, organized and safe working environment in the warehouse area as set up by our 5S standards.
  • Carries out other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum Grade 12 Diploma.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of proper material handling.
  • Working knowledge warehousing procedures, computer software including Microsoft Office.
  • Good organizational, interpersonal, decision making, conflict resolution, oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average work day.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain an asset.
  • Experience in an aviation environment an asset.
  • Experience working in an MRO environment an asset.
