Our team members share their diverse skill sets, perspectives and experiences throughout our agency across our two locations in Winnipeg and Toronto.About the roleWe’re looking for a versatile, motivated Media Partner to collaborate with our in-house team. You will be responsible for developing media strategies from pre-determined budgets, as well as coordinating media buys, managing budgets, and keeping our in-house team aware of what’s in-market on an ongoing basis.Our ideal candidate is an experienced media buyer with established vendor relationships and strong research capabilities, who loves staying up to date on current advertising trends, platforms and capabilities. This role requires experience with both traditional and digital media strategies, including channels such as social media, OOH, PPC, podcast and/or audio streaming advertising, and other paid media platforms.This role will be contracted on a month-to-month basis, with the opportunity to commit to quarterly or annual contracts as our relationship grows.Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with our in-house Brand and Creative teams to develop strong, effective campaign strategies
  • Deeply understand the target audience and demographics for each brand and campaign you work with
  • Research and determine the best platforms, channels, mediums and timing to reach each demographic and achieve our strategic goals
  • Develop and manage relationships with third-party media vendors
  • Work closely with our Projects, Engagement and Finance teams to manage vendor agreements and purchase ad placements and media partnerships
  • Manage and report on campaign budgets, spends and in-market dates
  • Collaboratively manage campaign files and other documents using Google Drive.
Skills and Abilities
  • You are well-versed in all types of media, including both digital and traditional channels.
  • You are familiar with how to interpret and leverage a customer profile, and you know the right questions to ask to fill any gaps you might see.
  • You have demonstrated experience managing budgets of various sizes, and overseeing multiple campaigns in-market at once.
  • You have ready-to-deploy frameworks to help support the distribution of campaign materials.
  • You can seamlessly collaborate with internal brand and marketing teams to plan or scope further development of messaging or bidding strategies needed to support our targeting objectives.
  • You have experience analyzing performance data to track KPIs for various media strategies – both on an ongoing and post-campaign basis – to ensure your clients are reaching their target audiences in the most efficient way.
  • You have strong negotiation skills.
  • You have strong organizational and database management skills.
  • You’re confident presenting research and strategies internally for discussion.

  • You love working with people and have strong communication skills. You communicate effectively on digital platforms like Slack and Google Meet, and you have no problem asking questions, raising concerns, navigating mistakes, and setting expectations with your teammates.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years experience as a Media Buyer, Media Coordinator, or Media Strategist
  • At least 1 year experience actively developing media strategies either in-house or with an agency
  • A degree or diploma in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or equivalent experience
  • At least some weekday availability to actively collaborate with our team in the Central and Eastern time zones
  • Preference given to applicants located within Canada
