Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the Media Production Specialist (Videographer/ Photographer/ Editor) is responsible for creating high-end audio and visual materials that effectively communicate our brand with both internal and external audiences. Generating effective and engaging materials from inception through delivery the Media Production Specialist will fill all roles as a planner, producer, shooter, director, editor, animator and content delivery strategist. Our goal for this role is to capture and produce polished photo and video materials that support training, product and brand positioning, special events, and multiple other applications including web, digital marketing and social media. The successful candidate will be organized yet flexible, confident working with people and independently, and willing to (literally) get their hands dirty filming on farms across North America.Key Responsibilities & Duties: **

  • Produce high-end videos from concept to completion such as promotional, educational/training, testimonials, event promos and others as requested
  • Pre-production responsibilities include brainstorming, scripting, storyboarding, pitching, planning and scheduling
  • Production responsibilities include lighting, shooting, audio capture and directing
  • Post-production responsibilities include editing, color correction, audio editing, special effects/animation, exporting and rendering etc.
  • Conduct and direct on-camera interviews and manage various subjects
  • Produce professional photographs for promotional and advertisement purposes
  • Organize and maintain the library of photo and video assets
  • Manage the audio/visual equipment including upkeep, repairs, rentals and purchase recommendations
  • Generate media output and distribution among corporate websites and social media pages
  • Coordinate, schedule and execute shoots with internal and external stakeholders in a professional and effective manner
  • Comfortable working with clients and various staff respectfully and independently
  • Other duties as assigned
Job RequirementsSkills, Experience & Requirements:
  • Ability to execute professionally on all job responsibilities listed above
  • Mastery of the Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Speedgrade, Audition, Illustrator, Photoshop etc.)
  • Expert knowledge of the video production process from pre-production to post-production and distribution
  • Sophisticated knowledge of on-location lighting, audio, and visual techniques
  • Familiarity with live event production including audio and video best practices
  • Excellent organizational skills, the ability to multi-task and an eye for detail
  • Strong time-management, scheduling and planning skills
  • Motivated self-starter that can work unsupervised
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time (when applicable)
  • Knowledge and experience using a Canon EOS 5D Mark III, EOS C100, and GoPro is an asset (equipment subject to change)
  • Ability to capture photos or video with a drone (DJI Mavic 2 Pro) is preferred
  • Experience with commercial outdoor filming projects is valuable; previous agricultural experience is an asset
  • Diploma/degree in a field related to Multimedia, Interactive Media and/or Design
  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience
  • A valid driver’s license and passport are required
Working Conditions:
  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday; with exceptions for travel
  • Travel required (The role will require a large amount of travel; as with all agricultural companies the tasks are seasonal and will require heavier filming in the spring and fall and heavier editing mid-summer and winter)
