BULLETIN NUMBER: 728/E/22 DATE POSTED: December 21, 2022SCHOOL: NELSON MCINTYRE COLLEGIATECOMMENCING: As soon as can be arrangedCOMPENSATION: Competitive salaryHOURS: 35 hours per week; 10 months per yearPOSITION DESCRIPTION:This position requires the incumbent to assist in facilitating programs for children/youth and their families throughthe development of learning programs, community development initiatives, networking with integrated servicesand creating partnerships with families and the community.REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:• completion of post-secondary training or education in social work, psychology, behavioural science or relatedareas of studies;• at least one year related experience in a similar position preferred;• previous experience working with community groups, government and non-profit agencies and organizations;• previous experience working in multi-ethnic setting preferred;• knowledge of community and available resource organizations;• excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills;• experience with grant writing and project management;• ability to create and coordinate a Community School partners consultation team;• must have an understanding and appreciation of variety of cultures;• previous work experience with children/adolescents in educational setting an asset;• problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret situations accurately and to act accordingly;• a positive outlook with a belief in the ethic of caring and inclusion;• First Aid and CPR training an asset;• excellent verbal and written skills in both official languages (English and French) may be required.APPLICATION PROCEDURE:The Louis Riel School Division is committed to employment equity and accessibility.
