Job Description

Resolute Technology Solutions is adding an Infrastructure Specialist (Network Administrator / Systems Administrator) to our team. You will contribute, plan, design, implement and provide technical support for Resolute and our clients. You will need to have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and the ability to listen, allowing you to efficiently decipher client needs. Sound like you Send that resume!What you will be responsible for: Operational support of infrastructure environments including, but not limited to the following:

  • Service Desk
  • Follow established Service Desk procedures for Level 2 and 3 support and update/follow ticket procedures ensuring achievement of established KPI’s and SLA’s
  • Respond to alerts and resolve issues
  • Prioritize outstanding issues and manage user expectations
  • Escalate problem issues accurately, proactively and in a timely manner, making recommendations as necessary while using established guidelines
  • Manage infrastructure capacity planning and performance monitoring and make recommendations as needed
  • Debug and resolve advanced hardware and software problems in a timely and efficient manner
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure operational support documentation
  • Maintain networks, systems, and devices including firewalls, virtual private networks (VPNs), wide area networks (WANs), local area networks (LANs), virtual local area networks (VLANs), routers, and other physical network-related hardware (internally and for client environments). As well:
  • Manage issues with internet service providers to ensure timely resolution
  • Manage antivirus control software and security updates
  • Manage client backup and recovery systems
  • Manage computer/network facilities including monitoring and response
  • Design and build a file-share security access models
  • Identify, recommend and implement enhancements to processes and procedures
  • Adhere to standard operational and support procedures
  • Vulnerability Remediation and Patch Management, that is, perform patch management tasks including but not limited to maintaining current knowledge of available patches, deciding what patches are appropriate for systems, ensuring that patches are installed properly, testing systems after installation, and documenting all associated procedures.
  • Assist with preparation of client deliverables including, but not limited to technical reports and presentations
  • Assist with the creation of proposals for client engagements
  • Support other team members with knowledge sharing, brainstorming, coaching, collaboration, etc. as requested or required
  • Demonstrate the principles of exceptional customer service with a focus on critical thinking and effective communication that supports anticipating customer needs
  • Participate in change management strategies and plans used to promote adoption of the solution
  • Provide operational support to Microsoft Azure and 365 tools
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of existing and emerging Microsoft 365 capabilities and related core technologies; stay up to date and well-in-the-know regarding the Microsoft applications roadmap
  • Participate in the evaluation and recommendation of new software/hardware products and services
What you bring to the table:
  • Computer Science degree, College diploma or equivalent experience and training
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience supporting and/or designing solutions in the indicated technologies with the last 4 years being at an intermediate level
  • More than 5 years of experience with LAN, WAN, VLAN and VPN
  • Strong networking/server experience and experience with switches, routers and firewalls
  • Experience with VMware and VDI
  • Relevant certifications in the indicated technologies considered an asset
  • Strong delivery record of satisfying business requirements with IT solutions
  • Experience working with Microsoft Azure and 365 services, both functionally and technically
  • Terraform skills desirable
