Job overview As a Network Administrator you will be responsible for making sure that computer hardware and network infrastructure related to the organizations data network are effectively maintained. As we are a smaller organization the successful candidate will be involved in the procurement of new hardware; the rollout of new software; maintaining disk images for new computer installs; making sure that licenses are paid for and up to date for software; maintaining the standards for server installations and applications; monitoring the performance of the network and; checking for security breaches and poor data management practices. As with many technical roles, the network administrator position will require a breadth of technical knowledge and the ability to learn the intricacies of new networking and server software packages quickly.Working in our corporate office, you will report to the Director, IT and be required to work with little supervision on most of your day-to-day duties. While many of your tasks will be technical in nature, equally important for this position will be your focus on customer service and working closely with people inside and outside of the organization. In this position you will be expected to train and mentor other IT staff.Responsibilities
