We are hiring workers to help set up and take down Festival du Voyageur 2023 from January 2, 2023 to March 17, 2023.Who We Are: The Festival du Voyageur inc. is a Francophone non-profit organization founded in 1969 that offers the public artistic and educational experiences inspired by the era of Voyageurs of 1815. The first edition of the winter celebration of the Festival du Voyageur took place in 1970. This annual event takes place over 10 days in February is now the largest francophone event in Western Canada welcoming more than 90,000 festival-goers a year. This celebration showcases the arts of several disciplines, including music, dance, sculpture and visual arts, while prioritizing Francophone and Indigenous artists.Job Overview: Under the supervision of the Site Manager and Foremen and while ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety rules, you will be responsible, among other things, for building, maintaining and dismantling various infrastructures necessary for the smooth running of the Festival du Voyageur. This position is outdoors and requires working in very cold weather conditions for long periods of time. Working hours will be Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. before the Festival then variable working hours with a minimum of 40 hours per week from February 11 to 28, 2022.Responsibilities vary based on assigned duties but include: Facility
