All information received in relation to accommodation will be kept confidential.Assessment accommodationDutiesThe student will conduct research on fungi that cause the Fusarium Head Blight disease of wheat.This research will involve 1) growing and analyzing fungi using traditional microscopy; 2) evaluating disease and grain damage by fungi. This research aims for the evaluation of plant-pathogen interaction between Fusarium fungi and wheat.Research will be performed at multiple locations at the University of Manitoba and at the Canadian Grain Commission’s location at the Richardson Centre for Functional Foods and Nutraceuticals.Positions to be filled: 1Information you must provideYour résumé.In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)Education:1. MSc from a recognized university with specialization in plant science or microbiology.2. Accepted into a PhD program at the University of Manitoba with specialization in plant science or microbiology.Degree equivalencyExperience:

  • Experience working with plant pathogenic fungi.
