Job Description

Overview:As a Physical Damage Programs Analyst, you are responsible for assisting in the development and maintenance of the short and long-term corporate and operational metrics and processes, as well as conducting special ad hoc analysis related to claims, the Direct Repair Program, Claims Audit, and all related policies, business rules and procedures. Working as a member of project teams, you will be responsible for working on small to medium scale projects to resolve moderately complex business problems and presents solutions, which will result in improvement to processes and programs.Responsibilities:

  • Prepares complex operational performance reporting for management and supervisors, including regularly scheduled reporting on departmental standards and progress.
  • Creates new management reports, including operational and exception reports.
  • Creates tables, charts, and report to be used in key decision making and performance measurement.
  • Prepares complex ad hoc reporting based on requests/issues.
  • Queries data from data sources and validates the information.
  • Completes comprehensive research and analysis assignments of moderate complexity while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
  • Completes comprehensive data and statistical analysis using a multiude of computer applications, such as CARS, Mitchell, eGlassClaim, and other sources.
  • Writes clear, concise reports and prepares business cases documents, cost/benefit analysis and feasibility studies, requirements documents, briefing notes, and presentations that outline findings and recommendations using MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and SharePoint with a high degree of proficiency.
  • Consults with end-users on existing defects and new proposed functionality.
  • Works closely with estimating, adjusting and technical staff to address issues or identify opportunities for process improvements.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Commerce, Business with emphasis on Management Information Systems, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Statistics or a related discipline.
  • Education in Business Analysis or a related discipline is an asset.
  • Two years related experience in research and analysis, with a focus in data and/or financial analysis and related processes.
OR
  • Certficate or diploma in Business Analysis or a related discipline
  • Three years of related experience in research and analysis, with a focus in data and/or financial analysis and related processes.
  • Intermediate communication skills with the ability to present information effectively to various audiences.
  • Intermediate organizational and time management skills.
  • Intermediate research, analytical and/or quantitative data skill set.
  • Ability to analyze business issues and make practical recommendations for resolution.
  • Working knowledge of business computer applications, such as CARS or other Estimatics Platforms such as Mitchell Solutions.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Knowledge of MPI legislation, regulations, policies, procedures and practices is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of CARS, Autopac On-Line and the IWS systems is an asset.
  • Knowledge of project management techniques.
  • Handles multiple tasks and prioritizes assignments to meet deadlines.
