Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOBDelta 9 Bio-Tech Inc. is looking for Packaging Associates to join our operations team for the Monday- Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm shift. As a Winnipeg based, federally licensed producer of cannabis. Delta 9 is a Manitoba leader with a dynamic and “growing” work environment. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in a labour position, ideally in a production environment. Processing Associates must be flexible with shift-work and comfortable working in warehouse working conditions. Successful candidates will exude passion providing customer suitable finished product and strong attention to detail.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Able to wear personal protective equipment, including but not limited to a full face and/or half face mask, gloves, hair nets and beard nets, as required
  • Manicure product using hand trim tools; operate and maintain equipment according to SOPs
  • Consistently and routinely perform quality control inspections of final product’s
  • Weigh and record materials for performance tracking and complete all required documentation; ensure waste, loose-leaf, and final products are accurately labeled and documented appropriately
  • Move cannabis (pre and post process) between production environments in an efficient and sanitary manner
  • Ensure all equipment and final packaging rooms have been cleaned and sterilized according to SOPs
  • Assist with inventory counts as required
  • Communicate issues with Leadership in a timely manner
  • Flexibility to be assigned to other departments as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned by Leadership
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Understanding of documentation procedures
  • Manual dexterity and motor coordination; Good eye-hand coordination
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Skilled in precision work while maintaining consistency
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills to ensure consistency of product
  • Must be able to handle repetitive motion in some processes
  • Capable of lifting up to 60 lbs. and ability to work in humid greenhouse conditions
ABILITIES AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to stay focused and complete repetitive and routine tasks
  • Capable of working efficiently in independent and team environments
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict operating procedures
  • Able to stand and/or sit for prolonged periods of time and capable of climbing ladders/stairs
  • Comfortable with working in enclosed spaces for long periods of time
  • Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous harvest and labour experience; MMAR/ACMPR experience considered an asset
  • Must be able to pass a criminal record check
  • Previous experience with ACMPR considered an asset
  • Knowledge of cannabis plant anatomy and strains an asset
