Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOBDelta 9 Bio-Tech Inc. is looking for Team Leads to join our operations team. As a Winnipeg based, federally licensed producer of cannabis, Delta 9 is a Manitoba leader with a dynamic and “growing” work environment. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership experience, ideally in a production environment. Team Leads must be flexible with shift-work and comfortable working in warehouse working conditions. Successful candidates will exude passion and be solution oriented, contributing to quality cannabis products through various stages of production.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Able to wear personal protective equipment, including but not limited to a full face and/or half face mask, gloves, hair nets and beard nets, as required
  • Oversee and assist Production Associates in various tasks according to standard operating procedures and associated work instructions, ensuring adequate training delivered
  • Organize and manage a team to ensure tasks are completed on schedule
  • De-leaf and perform maintenance of cannabis plants efficiently and with care
  • Scout plants for disease and pests
  • Harvest cannabis plants and hang for drying efficiently and with care
  • Remove flower from stalk manually and/or with machine
  • Manicure cannabis using hand trim tools
  • Operate, maintain, clean and sanitize equipment and tools
  • Clean and sanitize production pods and rooms
  • Perform quality control inspections of product with consistency
  • Precisely and efficiently weigh various cannabis products for packaging
  • Complete various forms of bulk or final packaging
  • Move cannabis between production environments in an efficient and sanitary manner
  • Complete worksheets according to good documentation practises
  • Weigh and record waste accurately
  • Assist Supervisor/Manager with developing staff, including coaching for success
  • Assist with maintaining Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions
  • Communicate issues with Leadership in a timely manner
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new tasks as required by operations
  • Other duties as assigned by Leadership
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Understanding of documentation procedures
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Skilled in precision work while maintaining consistency
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Capable of lifting up to 60 lbs.
  • Ability to work in humid greenhouse conditions and/or cool conditions
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other basic computer skills
ABILITIES AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
  • Capable of working efficiently in independent and team environments
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict operating procedures
  • Able to stand and/or sit for prolonged periods of time and capable of climbing ladders/stairs
  • Comfortable with working in enclosed spaces for long periods of time
  • Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent
  • MMAR/ACMPR experience considered an asset
  • Must be able to pass a criminal record check
  • Knowledge of and experience working with cannabis an asset
  • Knowledge of cultivation techniques an asset
