EMC brings together decades of controls and electronics design and manufacturing expertise with significant growth opportunities presented by our mobile electrification and industrial efforts.Position SummaryIncrease division sales and profits through development of product strategies for identified target markets. Coordinate communication involving products and applications between division, global regional divisions, customers and end users. Use of judgment in determining products offered, target markets, product line forecasting and product life cycle management. Interact with sales, operations and marketing to provide premier customer service. Manage the efforts of less senior Product Managers to prioritize tasks and meet responsibilities as outlined below.Responsibilities-Establish product application procedures to assist field sales in achieving profitable volume -Make recommendations and evaluations on new product ideas and opportunities as outlined in Parker’s Winovation process -Participate in or lead new product development teams as part of the Winovation process -Develop and organize product training for field sales, customers and end users -Support field sales with information on products and applications -Conduct on-going market evaluations to calibrate current and planned product offers. -Conduct competitive analysis of product lines and identify potential 3rd party partners to augment product lines -Assist in preparation and execution of advertising and promotional programs leveraging traditional and social media tools -Assist in the development of pricing strategies and product positioning strategiesQualifications-Bachelors Degree, preferably in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Business discipline with related experience -Five to seven years’ experience in engineering or field sales in a related industry -Strong analytical skills -Demonstrated ability to lead people and obtain results through others typically acquired through five or more years of increasing experience and responsibility including prior leadership and/or program management role. -Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities using effective problem solving / resolution skills and a team focus. -Experience developing and maintaining global channels.Closing StatementPlease note that this position can be located at our Elk Grove Village, Illinois or Morton, Illinois or Winnipeg, Manitoba locations.Parker HannifinParker Hannifin is a Fortune 250 global leader in motion and control technologies.
