Job Description

This position is for a Materials Planning and SIOP professional who participates in the supply and demand planning process, and responsible for making minor changes in systems and processes to solve problems and improve effectiveness of work area. May work with internal team to develop financial forecasts.Primary Responsibilities

  • May participate in developing strategies for materials planning and SIOP
  • May participate in the development of standardized processes within materials planning and SIOP in order to optimize the utilization of business resources and meet customer expectations for delivery.
  • May support the development of indicators that enable visibility to short and long-term market trends and demand.
  • May identify appropriate demand streams and support in establishing data relationship linkages.
  • May work with product development leaders and sales and marketing teams to develop demand forecasts.
  • May support in planning capacity and fulfillment demand with plant manufacturing operations.
  • May work with manufacturing team and participate in the development of monthly production volume planning using the business forecast, inventory position, actual customer orders, and the defined capacity parameters.
  • May participate in identifying and developing new technologies to improve materials planning and SIOP capability, sustainability,
  • Manages the work of manufacturing production disciplines in the Operations function.
  • Performs professional or management work regularly across multiple Manufacturing disciplines. Includes activities that cannot be attributed to a defined Operations discipline.
  • Conducts basic scheduling analysis to ensure smooth operations and optimal use of facilities.
  • Provides analysis for sequencing of work, such as build and delivery, to ensure smooth operations and optimal use of resources. Provides analysis on cell performance and productivity to optimize productivity.
  • Engages in cost reduction and process improvement activities to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness.
Basic Qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree and less than 2 years prior relevant experience Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and less than 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior understanding of capacity planning and analysis.
  • Prior understanding of scheduling and receiving systems
  • Strong analytical skills (MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • SAP relevant experience
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present to senior leadership
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Demonstrated team building, leadership, and interpersonal skills
