  • Support and participate in New Product set-up, EH & S and Continuous improvement activities
  • Follow established procedures and guidelines to form a variety of simple, manual tasks that form part of a production process, manufacture products according to production specifications and schedules, volume, cost, and wasteage targets, and quality standards
  • Supports the creation of sequence of operations and instruction for the assembly of components; fabrication of tools and equipment and other processes which may include disassembly/assembly and repairs to components
  • Receive detailed written instructions from the Supervisor, Lead Technician, or an Engineer. Decisions guided by clearly described procedures and instructions; work consists of recurring steps involved in the assembly of parts, subassemblies, and larger components
  • Fabricate parts using products and processes which are varied but generally not complex in scope
  • Select tooling and materials compatible with the processing techniques identfied in the work instructions
  • Verify work to ensure a defect free part prior to presenting to quality control (inspection)
  • Provide specialized technical assistance and interacts with team members to implement solutions
  • Employee will be required to handle regulated and hazardous wastes and materials
  • Read and interpret planning documents and engineering drawings
  • Work assignments require moderate to strenuous effort. Workers must climb, bend, perform tasks on elevated surfaces, stoop, crawl, and stand for prolonged periods on concrete or metal surfaces. Will frequently lift parts and equipment that weigh up to 9 kilograms, (20 lbs). Occasionally may lift and carry items that weigh up to 23 kilograms, (50 lbs), with mechanical lifting devices or assistance from other workers as required
