  • Contributes to project planning, review, control, startup, execution and closeout processes and engages in process improvement activities.
  • Supports project teams in project financial planning, tracking, analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Processes project invoices on monthly basis and reconciles to the general ledger.
  • Supports project estimate and budget development, assists in preparing and monitoring project cost baselines to identify cost overruns.
  • Prepares project cost reports and variance analysis, reconciles against forecasts and schedules.
  • Tracks project status and progress, completes status reports and management reviews.
  • Ensures adherence to project control processes and audit requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Sets up contract resources, contract extensions and terminations.
  • Administers and maintains team and Project SharePoint sites, files and tracks documentation including project artifacts and vendor contracts.
  • Compiles materials for reports and presentations for various stakeholder groups.
  • Monitors adherence to approved departmental processes, methodologies, tools, and documentation.
  • Provides input to and assists in continuous improvements activities for the IS Operational Financial Management team.
  • Performs ad-hoc project analysis and support.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education from a recognized college or university with an accounting or project management designation, or a combination of education and experience.
  • 2 years’ experience performing project administration and support.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint), Power BI and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, organizational, analytical and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated high attention to detail and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to plan and organize tasks, monitor performance, and keep work on track.
  • Strong attention to detail conducting reviews of information and work products carefully and comprehensively.
  • Proven track record with continuous learning.
  • Knowledge and experience in Property & Casualty Insurance industry is considered an asset.
