We are currently seeking a mature, creative, and reliable individual to join our team as aDesigner/Project Manager!The Designer/Project Manager is a full-time position reporting to the Design Director and is responsible for developing, designing, and managing the installation of projects from start to finish.The successful candidate will be responsible to: · Draft the technical design of larger/complex projects.· Interact with clients to gather information on the room and dimensions to ensure proper fit.· Provide finished sample/prototype to the client to ensure their satisfaction.· Prepare a design for 3rd party suppliers to show how their section of the project is to be built (glass, mirror, and countertop, etc.…).· Lead projects from start to finish inclusive of coordinating external and internal resources, ordering all materials necessary for the project, following timelines to ensure projects are delivered on time within scop and within budget.· Gather all information necessary for the install and schedule handoff meeting with installers.· Conduct quality control check on project prior to packing and shipping of material.· Set up the necessary contractors required onsite via the client or a General Contractor.· Provide support to clients with mechanical/climate control issues.· Attend tradeshows, charity events, and/or business dinners when required.Education and Experience: · Bachelor of Environment Design required.· Design and technical design skills required.· Knowledge of CAD, Sketchup is required.· Construction knowledge is required.· Previous experience in design, sales and project management is required.· Project Management and knowledge of ASANA software an asset.· Knowledge of climate control and lighting knowledge is required.· Proficiency in Microsoft office – Excel.Necessary Skills and Abilities: · Creative and innovative – think outside the box.· Customer-focused.· Collaborative – working with client, 3rd parties, teammates.· Accuracy (Attention to detail).· Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).· Exceptional time-management skills and ability to prioritize.· Effective interpersonal skills and relationship building.· Planning, organizing and follow up.Working conditions: · Working in an office environment.· Some time spent in a dusty shop.· Work a standard 40-hour work week.· May be required to work overtime.· Must be flexible and adaptable to change.· Some travel is required outside the country to attend tradeshows or onsite visits.· A valid passport is required.Perks of working for Genuwine Cellars: Ø Extended Health CareØ Dental careIf you require further information, please contact office at 204.668.8101We thank all applicants.
